The Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) develop empty hand skills from its weapons training.  It is a COMPLETE martial art system that has not only weapons, but also empty hand systems, grappling, and forms.  The system was originally developed for combat and practical application in relatively short periods of time against other villages or foreign invaders.  The training method is systematic and simplistic as only the skills that were proven effective and could be easily taught were used.  Training consists of double stick, single stick, stick and dagger, single and double knife, the empty hand as well as a number of traditional Filipino weapons.  A great deal of emphasis is placed on stick sparring and knife sparring for the advanced students).  The CDF Academy also offers Kali / JKD, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Progressive Fighting Systems, and Safety Awareness Training.

Mr. Jones has trained many students from various styles of Martial Arts including Law Enforcement Officers as well as Security Firms teaching un-armed defense tactics. He has been recogzized in Sports Karate publication, and has conducted many seminars throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Arizona.
