Marino Jones began training in 1979. He is a Black Belt in Karate and a Black Belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, reaching national level competitive ranking from the American Karate Association from 1989-1991. His most recent accomplishments include Arizona State Karate Champion 2003 and 2004. In 2004 he earned International status by winning two gold medals in the Pan American Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Championships in the seniors Brown Belt Division held in California. Immediately after the competition he was awarded his Black Belt.

The primary foundation of his studies were taught to him by Richard Lamoureaux who is a certified instructor under Dan Inosanto. His advanced studies has also included training under several of the most accomplished Martial Arts instructors in the United States.

He is certified under Bill “Superfoot” Wallace, Paul Vunak, and Ted Lucay Lucay. His specialization is in the Filipino MartialArts and the JKD Concepts

Mr. Jones has trained many students from various styles of Martial Arts including Law Enforcement Officers as well as Security Firms teaching un-armed defense tactics. He has been recogzized in Sports Karate publication, and has conducted many seminars throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Arizona.
